ENGLISH BRIDGE STUDIOS

The charity English Bridge Workshop Ltd nurtured creativity in Shrewsbury for over 40 years. Before that, the building served as an art school, and even earlier, it was home to the Abbey National School—a place of learning and inspiration for generations.

After the challenges of COVID-19, the space needed new energy to bring it back to life. That’s when MakeSpace CIC left Raven Studios to take on the management of the building, determined to restore its role as a thriving creative community.

​

Today, under the banner of English Bridge Studios, that legacy continues, providing affordable studio spaces, community workshops, exhibitions, and artistic opportunities for local creatives. 

During the Arts Trail English Bridge Studios (EBS) will be running Shrewsbury Open Studios (SYOS) across the town on July 11 and 12 and hosting some of the artists taking part.

Arts Café events will also be held at EBS on July 14 (Dan Berry) and in August (date and topic tbc)
