SHROPSHIRE ART SOCIETY
A beacon of creativity on the Shrewsbury Arts Trail, Shropshire Art Society is a vibrant community of over 150 locally based artists. Our members, drawn from all across Shropshire, include both professional and leisure artists, as well as lovers of the visual arts.
Throughout the year, our members engage in an exciting and diverse range of activities, including workshops, courses, sketch and printmaking clubs, gallery trips, and paint-away holidays.
The society proudly hosts a permanent exhibition and two large exhibitions of members’ work annually. The summer exhibition is held at St Mary’s Church in central Shrewsbury, and the autumn presentation takes place at the Bear Steps Gallery.
The Society is open to both artists and non-artists who are resident in Shropshire and have a love of the visual arts. We believe that art is for everyone, and we welcome anyone with a passion for the visual arts to join our community.
