SHREWSBURY CATHEDRAL
Shrewsbury Cathedral is an essential stop for any stained-glass enthusiast. Its Victorian glass was made by the Midlands firm of Hardman. Its true glories though are the seven windows designed by the great Margaret Agnes Rope, who was born in Shrewsbury.
In the Chapel of Saint Winefride (patron saint of the area, and also of abused women), a series of windows depicts her sad, but finally triumphant, story.
